Head of Publications
Tal Mukhopadhyay
Hey, I'm Tal and I am currently a Year 12 student in London. I have always been interested in politics pertaining to social justice and change, and I believe that young people have a powerful ability to instigate change in society. Through YAP, I aim to help young people like me understand the complex and often intimidating intricacies of the global political climate, allowing us to confidently participate in political discussions. Outside of YAP, my hobbies include listening to music, reading, and binging police shows.

Head of Communications
Shaivi Jha
Hi! My name is Shaivi. I'm sixteen years old and am currently a Year 12 student studying the IBDP. I’ve always found communication fascinating, whether it’s reaching out to people, sharing ideas, or making connections. I love seeing how conversations can bring about real change. That’s why I was drawn to join Youth and Politics as Head of Communication. I’ve naturally always been fascinated and gripped by economic theories and policies, and often find myself spending much of my time thinking about why things work the way they do or questioning how decisions, big or small, shape our world. For me, YAP is the perfect place to turn curiosity into action and help create a space where everyone feels excited to ask questions, share their perspectives, and get involved in conversations that matter.

Finance Manager
Claire Wu
Hi! I’m Claire and I’m a Finance Manager for YAP. I’m currently a Year 12 student studying in Hong Kong with an interest in the subjects of economics and history, and their impacts on systems governing our society today. Some hobbies of mine include playing volleyball at school, sketching, and watching video essays. I'm delighted to be part of the Finance Department, and aid Youth and Politics in its mission to empower individuals to take agency over their futures and make a positive change in their communities. I hope to help people build a stronger understanding of political events and encourage them to pursue their passions and interests!

Finance Manager
Denise Hui
Greetings, everyone! My name is Denise, and I am currently a Year 12 IBDP student in Hong Kong, serving as your enthusiastic Head of Finance for our Youth and Politics Organisation. When I’m not balancing budgets, you might find me grinding on my clarinet, attempting to break my 10km PR, or high-fiving my cats—trust me, it's a complex skill! I’m passionate about financial literacy in our political context and committed to ensuring our team has the resources to make a meaningful impact. So, let’s make this year financially fabulous, and who knows? Maybe I’ll even teach you all how to get your cats to do high-fives!

Media Coordinator
Tanya Yeung
Hello people, my name is Tanya Yeung, and I am a Year 12 student with a keen interest in politics and its link to law. I enjoy learning about the various political and law cases around the globe. Recently, I finished reading The Art of Cross-Examination by Francis L. Wellman, a book that depended my understanding of effective thinking. I also have a passion for fiction books and doodling, which led me to join the design department of YAP. Through this role I hope to visually intrigue people and encourage them to emerge themselves in the complex world of politics. (Outside, you can find me helping my friends buy concert tickets and trying not to drive a car into a wall.)
